The Aquatic Museum is the huge building on the Wyrm's Tooth glacier in the Icewind Dale game.
Description[]
Centuries before the events of the Icewind Dale game, this impressive structure was built as a temple dedicated to Dugmaren Brightmantle, the dwarven god of inventors, scholars, and explorers. Construction was led by the architect Alkonos the Mad, who was related to the king of Dorn's Deep.[1]
Sea creatures were transported here from far away, and put on display in the museum exhibits on the main floor (see that article for details), in celebration of the spirit of discovery that Dugmaren represents.
With the fall of Dorn's Deep, the resident dwarves became extinct, and the museum was left deserted.
Now, the evil salamander king Kerish occupies the museum with his minions, and keeps human slaves here.
Entrances[]
The building has two entrances from the Wyrm's Tooth main outdoors map:
- Main entrance at (1900, 1300): Leads to the main floor.
- Lower entrance at (2200, 2200)[Note 1]: Leads to the basement foyer.
