Bandoth is a reclusive mage.
Location[]
He stands inside his tower in the entry cavern of Upper Dorn's Deep.
Background[]
Not much is known about what he does here. In his own words:

He is dismissive of adventurers, and easily aggravated. He used to have an apprentice, but recently sent him out on a task and hasn't heard from him since.
Interaction[]
Bandoth is annoyed by your intrusion into his home, and if you are rude to him, he attacks you.
However, if you choose diplomatic responses and ask him how to get further down into the dwarven complex, he gives you the quest:
- Retrieving razorvine extract (42,000 exp)
You can also propose to barter with him, to bring up his store (see #Buy & Sell below).
Furthermore, if you return to him after having explored more of Upper Dorn's Deep, you can talk to him about some of the things you found and did there:
- If you tell him about Saablic Tan's predicament, he gloats over it.
- If you tell him about your success in restoring the Great Forge, he scoffs about adventurers.
- If you show him Kalabac's Journal, he explains the dwarven puzzle room to you.
- If you show him Dver's Note, he gets scared and leaves forever.
