The Barbarian Camp is a makeshift settlement of barbarian tribes at the time of the Icewind Dale: Heart of Winter expansion.

Description[]

Normally, the barbarian tribes of the Icewind Dale region live scattered across the tundra, and keep their distance from the Ten Towns. But recently, multiple tribes (Bear Tribe, Wyrm Tribe, Elk Tribe) have banded together, and formed this unified camp at the base of Kelvin's Cairn.

Rallied by their mysterious leader Wylfdene, they are seemingly preparing for war with the Ten Towns.

Plot[]

The party must first come here during the Heart of Winter main quest step:

An audience with Wylfdene (? exp)

...and then later return for:

Exposing Wylfdene (? exp)

During the first visit, the party is escorted from the gate straight to the Mead Hall and back. But later on, after exposing Wylfdene, you will be able to explore the whole camp.

After exposing Wylfdene, and exploring camp, Hjollder will ask Party to go to Sea of Moving Ice (to Isle of the Great Wyrm).

Initially, this map contains no hostile creatures.

At the end of An audience with Wylfdene, unless you manage to talk your way out of it, you have to fight the "welcoming committee" consisting of 6 warriors:
