Burning Hands is a level 1 Arcane spell from the Alteration school, that creates a cone of fire in front of the caster.

Descriptions[]

When the wizard casts this spell, a jet of searing flame shoots from his/her fingertips. The flame jets are five feet in length and spread out in a horizontal arc of about 120 degrees in front of the wizard. Any creature in the area of effect suffers 1-3 hit points of damage, plus 2 points per level of experience of the spellcaster, to a maximum of 1-3 + 20 points of fire damage. If the target saves vs. spell, they only take half damage.

This spell causes the caster to deal 1d3 + 2/level fire damage to all targets in a 120 degree cone in front of them, out to 5 feet. Each affected creature gets to make a Save vs. Spell: success means the creature takes only half damage, otherwise they take full damage.

Enhanced Edition[]

This spell causes the caster to deal 1d3 + 2/level fire damage to all targets in a 90 degree cone in front of them, out to 7 feet. Each affected creature gets to make a Save vs. Spell: success means the creature takes only half damage, otherwise they take full damage.
