Character stats (or statistics) are character attributes that specify various aspects of how "powerful" a character is.

Introduction[]

Character stats represent quantifiable aspects of a game character's effectiveness at various tasks. They are expressed as numerical values associated with the character, which distingishes them from characteristics.

The game engine checks these stats both during combat, and for other game mechanics.

Initial values[]

For a player character, each character stat receives an initial value that is (depending on the stat) either:

  • predefined
  • chosen by the player during character generation (char-gen)
  • calculated based on other choices during char-gen

Changes to the values[]

Your character's stats can change over the course of the game, e.g.:

  • Based on your level-up choices.
  • Based on equipment and buffs.
  • Based on other stats.
