Deafness is a level 2 Arcane spell from the Illusion school, exclusive to the Enhanced Edition game, that permanently deafens a target if they fail a Save vs. Spell.
Description[]
“ | The Deafness spell causes the recipient to become totally unable to hear any sounds. Deafened creatures are unaffected by spells and abilities that rely on hearing, and deafened spellcasters have a 50% chance to miscast any spells. The victim is allowed a Save vs. Spell to negate the effect. Deafness can be done away with by means of Dispel Magic, Cure Disease, and similar treatments. | ” |
Effects[]
This spell causes a creature to become completely deaf, permanently, granting them immunity to sound-based spells and abilities, but also creating a 50% chance for the target to miscast their spells. A Save vs Spell negates the effect.
The deafness can be cured through use of spells such as Dispel Magic, Cure Disease, and similar treatments.
