Defeating the final boss is the last step of the main quest of Icewind Dale.
Quick walkthrough[]
- Climb the ice tower, and defeat Pomab on floor 3.
- Use the mirror on floor 4 to reach Jerrod's Tomb.

Defeating Pomab
Pomab creates illusions that are basically impossible to destroy. You can figure out which one is the real one when attacking and checking the log or by using True Sight. Every time he gets hit, Pomab will teleport randomly, losing the melee attackers focus. Ranged attackers tend to keep the focus.
You can normally not destroy the sentries, and they revive much like troll do when you down them.
Bring a lot of electrical resistance since he is spamming a bolt of lightning wand.
Put up on stairs and activate the mirror and confront with Brother Poquelin. After teleportation by Mirror, Dispel Magic will be casted on party, that's immediately dispel all precasted buffs.

After battle begins Revered Brother Poquelin will change his human form into daemon Belhifet and will attack Party with 2 Cornugons and 2 Iron Golems.
Arena are full of traps that's dispel all magic despite of spell immunity abjuration.
Belhifet is extremely durable and have a lot of elemental resistances and resist to all magic (that can't be lowered). He can be damaged only by +3 and higher weapons.

Tips for fight[]
- For solo pure Mage / Sorcerer use Protection from Evil + Gate to conjure a daemon that kills golems and Belhifet. Or spawn a sword like Black Blade of Disaster + Improved Haste + Time Stop (at least 2) to kill Belhifet ignoring his AC.
