Description[]
Fireball is one of the reasons that wizards gained acceptance in the field of adventuring. To cast it, the wizard points his/her finger and speaks the range at which the fireball is to burst. A streak flashes from the pointing digit and blossoms into a fireball, delivering fire damage proportional to the level of the wizard who cast it: 1d6 points of fire damage for each level of the spellcaster (up to a maximum of 10d6). Those who roll successful a Save vs. Spell manage to dodge, fall flat, or roll aside, taking only half damage.
Bugs[]
- The original Icewind Dale lists this spell as "FireBall", with an upper-case "B", which wasn't fixed in any patch or expansion until the Enhanced Edition.
