Holy Power is a level 4 spell from the Priest Scroll in Icewind Dale, which was added in the Enhanced Edition.
Description[]
“ | Through this spell, the caster imbues <PRO_HIMHER>self with the strength and skill of a Fighter of the same level. The priest's Strength is set to 18/00—even if it is normally higher—<PRO_HISHER> THAC0 becomes that of a Fighter of the same level, and <PRO_HESHE> gains 1 temporary Hit Point per level. This will last for the duration of the spell or until dispelled. | ” |
Lore[]
Priest of Tempus Ability[]
Priest of Tempus can invoke Holy Power as an ability once a day, plus one extra use every 5 levels thereafter.
[ Bug with patch 2.5 and prior (fixed with patch 2.6 of April 2021) : on a Priest of Tempus character, Holy Power will appear as a level 1 spell that can be memorized/prepared, instead of an Innate ability.]
[ Fix is using Patch 2.5 or prior : on the official forum, someone has made a fix to the file for that Priest of Tempus ability (OHTMPS1.SPL) [here], making it Innate instead of a Cleric spell (the actual cleric spell Holy Power, level 4, is a different file). This change may require a rest or a full day before being visible, unless you use a save editor. ]
- ↑ Holy Power is no spell from the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd Edition ruleset, which Icewind Dale is based on, hence it has no priest sphere assigned. It lacks one in Icewind Dale as well.
