Icewind Dale: Trials of the Luremaster is the second expansion to the Icewind Dale game.
Details[]
A mysterious halfling, Hobart Stubbletoes, promises treasure and teleports the party somewhere in the Anauroch desert...
This expansion or side-quest can be accessed by talking to Hobart in the Lonelywood's tavern, called The Whistling Gallows, accessible only when playing the Heart of Winter (after talking to Hjollder in Kuldahar).
If you finish the Heart of Winter quest, you will lose access to the Trials of the Luremaster with that party.
TotL is quite notably harder than the rest of the game including Heart of Winter (see below).
Difficulty: Confronting Lord Maluradek (no story spoilers)[]
The Trials of the Luremaster expansion can be done with a party around level 10, but it may be very challenging, especially towards the end. Some players could get discouraged by the difficulty and there is no turning back (except by loading a save game before accepting this quest). If you like a challenge, it can be done with a party around levels 10-12, but it may be recommended to be higher level.
