Jamoth Stonetree was a dwarven warrior, centuries before the events of the Icewind Dale game.
Background[]
He had a son.[1]
When Dorn's Deep was swarmed by undead coming through a vortice from the Negative Energy Plane, in what became known as the Battle of the Dead, Jamoth became a hero with the aid of a miracle: Blessed by his god Moradin, he boldly charged through enemy lines with his battle axe, disintegrating nearby undead with each swing. The undead were driven back, and the vortice inverted.[1]
After his death, Jamoth was laid to rest in the Hall of Heroes, where his tomb was built directly over the vortice and commemorated with a statue. The inscription reads:
“ | In memory of Jamoth, whose courageous efforts during the Battle of the Dead will never be forgotten. | ” |
