Jerrod's Stone is the stone disc which contains the remains of the famous barbarian shaman Jerrod.
Description[]
The large, round disk appears as if made of stone. The shape of Jerrod's body can still be seen embedded in it.
History[]
The disc was created during the Battle of Jerrod's Stone, when Jerrod sacrificed himself by jumping into the demon-spawning portal opened by the archmage Arakon – which sealed the portal by fusing with Jerrod's body, killing him in the process.
During the Icewind Dale game[]
The disc is now stored in a room under the Temple of Tempus in Easthaven. The room is sealed by wards placed by Tempus himself, thus the party cannot enter it when they visit Easthaven during the game's prologue.
However, in chapter 6b, 
the devil Belhifet uses the magical artifact Crenshinibon to:
- Break the wards in the temple, gain access to Jerrod's Stone, and reopen the portal with the goal of launching an invasion of Icewind Dale.
- Build an ice tower, the Tower of Cryshal-Tirith, around the temple.
The party can gain access to the tower, and from there, to the tomb containing Jerrod's Stone – and confront Belhifet.
At the end of this final show-down, the temple's head priest Everard follows in Jerrod's footsteps and sacrifices himself to close the portal a second time. Now it is his body that is fused into the stone disk.Gallery[]
