One of this item can be given to Damien, initially encountered on the bridge in the Southeastern corner of Easthaven, for the prologue chapter side-quest Damien's fish.

Description[]
| “ | A knucklehead trout. Found only in the lakes of Icewind Dale, the bones of these enormous fish yield precious scrimshaw that is used to make elegant carvings and sculptures. | ” |
Its bones are similar to ivory, and well-suited as the raw material for scrimshaw.
Inhabitants of the Ten Towns of Icewind Dale fish for it in Maer Dualdon and Lac Dinneshere, both as a source of food, and in order to craft scrimshaw – which they export to the South and which represents a major pillar of their economy.
