Slightly lighter and requiring one less Strength in order to wield than its mundane counterpart, this shield provides the second best defense against missile attacks in the game, being only surpassed by the Large Shield +1, +4 vs. Missiles. However, this shield's 10% resistance against missile damage may be seen as more beneficial than the additional point of AC.
