Lore is the character stat that determines how well a character can identify unidentified items.
How it works[]
All unidentified items have a lore requirement value which determines the minimum lore skill needed to identify them. A high lore stat therefore helps in identifying rarer and higher-level items.
The Identify spell (or scroll) can identify any item regardless of their lore requirement.
Stat value[]
A character's lore skill is determined by their class, level, and their Intelligence and Wisdom stats[1]:
Class | Lore per Level |
---|---|
Bard (trueclass, Jester, Skald) | +10 |
Bard (Blade) | +5 |
Thief, Mage | +3 |
Others | +1 |
