Bone Dancer Mytos is a servant of the god Myrkul, and one of the guardians of Kresselack's Tomb.

Location[]

Mytos is found inside Kresselack's Tomb, level 1 at (1575, 750), just beyond the large magically locked door.

In the immediate vicinity of Mytos there are 4 Temple Guardians.

Conversation[]

Main Conversation[]

Immediately upon sighting the party (which is likely to happen as soon as the door is opened) Mytos initiates a conversation.

Talking with Mytos presents a complex discussion with some options limiting and/or enhancing your choices greatly.

With care the conversation can be explored fully; Mytos is content to talk as long as the party is not outright insulting or attempts to leave. Mytos will talk about the following things:

  • A small amount about Myrkul, Bone Dancers, and the Myrkul faith. Discussing the undead guardians will reveal that Mytos was the one that summoned them, centuries ago. Debating the morality of necromancy and the undead will give the party the chance to earn bonus experience.
  • The tomb being a threat to Kuldahar. Mytos will not allow the party to investigate the tomb, saying it is "forbidden". Several times the return of the keys will demanded, but both sides are ultimately unwilling and unable to concede.

If it any point the party declares their intention to leave, Mytos will demand the return of the Keys. Unlike with Therik, there is no option to hand over the keys and depart.

Ultimately, this conversation leads to an inevitable combat. The only variables are the information you gain, the experience received, and the manner in which you converse.

Optional Quests[]

Combat[]

Capabilities[]

Mytos is a spell-caster, and can cast the following spells:

Being a skeletal undead, Mytos has significant damage resistance to Piercing, Missile, and Slashing damage.

Mytos is unarmed, and strikes with fists, albeit for heavy damage.

Sequence[]

Absent interference from the party, Mytos will initially back up behind the 4 Temple Guardians, then cast spells (roughly in the order listed). After that, Mytos will then move to engage the party with melee attacks while allowing Static Charge to go off on nearby characters.
