Protection From Evil is a level 1 Arcane spell from the Abjuration school, that helps protects the subject from attacks and spells from evil-aligned opponents.

Description[]

When this spell is cast, a magical barrier forms around the recipient. It moves with the target and has two effects: First, the protected creature receives a +2 bonus to their Armor Class and a +2 to Saving Throws. Second of all, the creature becomes immune to charm-based spells or effects (Charm Person, Charm Person or Mammal, Domination, and so on).

The barrier has three effects: First, it bestows a +2 bonus to the the recipient's Armor Class and Saving Throws against attacks from evil-aligned opponents; second, it prevents summoned fiends from attacking the recipient; third, it makes the recipient immune to charm-based spells or effects (e.g. Charm Person, Charm Person or Mammal, Domination, and so on).

This spell allows the caster to place a Protection from Evil spell onto themself for 2 rounds/level. This spell has two effects:

  2. It makes the recipient immune to charm-based spells or effects (e.g. Charm Person).

Enhanced Edition[]

This spell allows the caster to place by touch, a Protection from Evil spell onto themself or a friendly creature for 2 rounds/level. This spell has three effects:

  1. It bestows a +2 bonus to the recipient's Armor Class and Saving Throws against attacks from evil-aligned opponents.
  2. It prevents summoned demons from attacking the recipient (e.g. Summon Fiend).
  3. It makes the recipient immune to charm-based spells or effects (e.g. Charm Person).
