- While originally a level 2 spell in both Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale, Protection from Petrification was changed to be a level 1 spell in Baldur's Gate II and Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition.
- Сonsidering that's in IWD and HoW no enemies that use petrifying attacks (only a couple traps in dragon's lair in HoW ), usage this spell in pretty limited.
- In the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd Edition ruleset, this is only available as a scroll, not as an actual spell.
