Upper Dorn's Deep is part of what remains of the ancient dwarven stronghold of Dorn's Deep.
Description[]

The stronghold is located underground, below a solitary mountain peak of the Spine of the World mountain range.
It was built and inhabited by dwarves long before the events of the Icewind Dale game. Now, evil forces have taken hold here.
Plot[]

When your party reaches Upper Dorn's Deep, chapter 4 of the game starts.
You have to enter the fortress, acquire a badge, descend deeper into the complex, and defeat a lich to open the path to the chapter 5 area.
