Valestis is a shadowed elf.

He walks around in the arboretum at the top of Corellon Tower in the Severed Hand.
Background[]
Unlike most elves of the Hand of the Seldarine, Valestis was not cut out for war.
During the orc invasion that led to the fall of the Hand, he watched over the arboretum.
As Larrel's attempt to stop the invasion using a mythal backfired, Valestis and the plants & animals of the arboretum were drained of life, and Valestis was turned into an undead shadowed elf.
Since then, he has waited in the arboretum, hoping that one day, life and beauty will be restored to it.
Interaction[]
You can talk to him about the arboretum. If you offer to help, he gives you the optional side-quest:
- Restoring the arboretum (up to 438,000 exp in chapter 5-6a).
When that quest is completed, he disappears forever.
